3 Questions I Would Ask Greg Palast About Palestine and AIPAC

by AZ
===
1. Greg, in the August 15, 2003 issue of the Jewish daily paper, The Forward, you call Al Jazeera the "TNN", or as you put it "Terrorist News Network". (“Muckraking Crusader Creeps Onto the Bestseller List” by Max Gross, The Forward, Aug.15, 2003)

Can you please give evidence you have of Al Jazeera's so-called acts or ties to terrorism?

2. You said in the same interview that the Palestinian prisoners being released at the time were "admitted child killers". Out of a total of 5,500 Palestinians held in Israeli jails, only 350 were released after being deemed eligible using criteria set by a ministerial committee of Israeli prison officials. All of the prisoners released were shown to be either detainees or had served their respective sentences for the crimes of stone throwing, possessing weapons, or using weapons in situations where no one was injured. (http://www.amin.org/eng/uncat/2003/aug/aug05.html)

Could you please provide us with the names of those guilty of killing children who were released?

3. In your uncovering of the mechanisms of political power in the US and the ways and means the Right uses connections and influence to elect and unelect politicians, you fail to mention the power of the pro-Israeli lobby, namely AIPAC. In fact, in your discussions and article "The Screwing of Cynthia McKinney" you fail to mention AIPAC's involvement at all despite the fact that Edward Walsh of the Washington Post reported that "Jewish donors and pro-Israel organizations from around the country poured money into Majette's campaign, while most of McKinney's contributions came from donors with Muslim or Arab surnames who live outside the district." (“Questions Raised About Donors to Georgia Lawmaker’s Campaign” by Edward Walsh, Washington Post, August 12, 2002)

Why do you purposely omit such an important player like AIPAC out of your discussions on campaign financing and elections?
