VIDEO: Arab singers lament the horrors which have befallen their people this century

This video is only a portion of the original 15 minute video in which many Arab musicians sing about the suffering so many in the Arab World have gone through.

The beginning shows scenes from Israel's invasion of Lebanon in the summer of 1982 in which Beirut was gutted by indiscriminate bombing from tanks, helicopters, and F-16 Jet fighters -- all provided free of charge to Israel by the US. In all, some 20,000 people were killed in the three month period from June to September.

Later scenes are images of the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. And also scenes from Israel's bombing of Lebanese towns in the '90s.

Later in the video, a few of the 1.5 million Iraqi civilians who died due to the genocidal sanctions on the country are shown.

This video was done before the Iraq Invasion in which something on the order of 10,000 civilians were bombed or gunned down in the streets by the US military.

All in all, it has been a nightmare of a century for the Arabs who have suffered far more than Israelis or Americans. The singers lament that this is their recurring nightmare and dream of a better future.
