War on Iraq is BECAUSE of Israel

by Remember 1973
Many do not remember lining up in long gaslines on every other day in 1973, but I do!
I was in college in Boston in 1973. Back then I hardly ever read the newspapers, or watched TV, and was just immersed in classes and partying. But I do remember that sometime in 1973, all of a sudden there was a big gas crisis, and there were looooong lines to get gas. On top of that, cars with even and odd numbered license plates had to alternate on days on which drivers could get gas.

Now I understand what was happening in the world, and it is an extension of what is happening today in our world with regards to the"war on terrorism", and though our government thinks of Al Queda and the Taliban when it comes to the world "terrorism", terrorism can most definately applies to what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians since day one of its creation in 1948.

In 1973, Egpyt started a war against Israel to get back the Sinai Peninsula which Israel took in its preemptive war in 1967. The war Egpyt started against Israel was the first time Egypt preempted a war against Israel. Israel, it is well-known and documented, started the both 1948 war and the 1967 war against its neighbors. Indeed, Israel has been at war with its neighbors ever since day one of its immoral creation in 1948 when the UN, completely dominated by European countries at that time, gave away Arab land that really was NOT the UN's land to give away in the first place to Eastern European Zionist Jews for a Jewish supremacist state on predominantly Muslim Arab land.

In 1973, to show solidarity with Egypt, all the Arab countries raised their rates and lowered their export of oil to the US. Hence, the long lines at the gas pumps. It's all clear to me now.

Hence the notion that Israel is an asset to the US in securing oil for the US is entirely false! The US never had an enemy in the Arab world UNTIL the creation of Zionist Israel, who has always acted aggressively towards its neighboring Arab Muslim countries, and even Lebanon, which has a large Christian population. Since the US has solidly supported the Zionist Israel with money and weapons used against the indigenous Muslims, the US and Israel has become as one, synomonous with each other... just the way Zionist Jews and Israel has planned it all along.

If Zionist Jewish supremacist Israel was completely dismantled and transformed into a secular, democracy with equal rights for all regardless of religion, race or sex, the world would be a much more peaceful place, not to mention we would have no problem with getting the oil we need. In other words, our country's support for racist, apartheid Israel is a huge liability to Americans' best interests in a myriad of profoundly important ways:

1. We have now become targets of extremists' hostility due to our government's enormous support financially and with weapons to Israel which oppresses the Palestinians who are the indigenous people of Palestine-Israel. Therefore this whole trillion dollar war effort our government is embarking on is a DIRECT extension of our government's FUNDING Israel's unjust war against the Palestinians and encroaching on its neighbors' land such as Syria and Lebanon!!!

2. We waste billions and billions of our US tax dollars supporting the resource-poor, racist, apartheid, country of Israel both to simply "bolster" their lousy economy, and primarily their unjust war against the Palestinians, giving them money (loans that are "forgiven") and the most sophisticated weapons in the world for Israel to continue on its campaign of ethnic cleansing against the essentially defenseless Palestinian people when WE AMERICANS desparately need the money HERE for education, health, environmental and social programs HERE in the US! Did you see the headlines in the Chronicle yesterday???? About how parents are now having BAKE SALES to help pay for basics like teachers' salaries??? And at this very moment the Israeli government is NOW asking for an additional $14 BILLION on top of the $4 to 6 BILLION we have already given them this year????

3. Need I say anymore??? But I will! Now we cannot travel without trepidation anywhere in the world and especially perhaps to Muslim countries, as Zionists and their greedy dupes the Christian Right have campaigned hard to mobilize animosity against Muslims! Even European countries resent our support of Israel and our big bully arrogant ways! The US is the usually the ONLY country that supports Israel in UN Resolutions by vetoing the resolutions or abstaining from voting when every single other country in the entire world condemns Israel's aggression against the Palestinian people! Israel has defied over 80 UN Resolutions, more than ANY OTHER country!!! Israel's relationship with the UN is at an all-time low because of this and the fact that the Israeli army has targetted and KILLED UN workers, including UN worker Ian Hook, who has servived Kosovo and Afghanistan, but NOT murderous Israel!! The Israeli army also blew up almost $300,000 worth of food from the UN in a warehouse that was going to be given to starving Palestinians in Jenin and Nablus!!!

I end my article with pointing a finger at Zionism, and it's supporters, as the primary evil that we must conquer in today's world. In WWII, it was Nazism. Today, it is Zionism. Any form of racism, no matter what it is called, must be completely OUTLAWED!

We must stop and outlaw Zionism and racism in all its forms and we must do that NOW! We must call on our leaders to stop the insanity of war and racism, and we must call for clean campaigns reform, outlawing contributions from special interest groups such as the Zionist groups like AIPAC (American Israeli Public Affairs Committe, the most powerful lobby in the US) and making campaigns completely publicly funded. http://www.fairelections.us
by Anyone remember 1973?
I'm surprised no one has commented on the gas crisis of 1973! It shows how Israel does NOT help the US get good prices from the Arab countries on oil.

The NRA is a special interest group, would you like toget rid of them also?
by Peiper
"The NRA is a special interest group, would you like toget rid of them also?"

If the NRA were composed of dual citizens dictating American foreign and domestic policy, YES.

I will be watching what happens to oil prices after the war begins in late January.
If prices go up like that again, I will believe it is from an action of solidarity.
by Fatal Attraction

This is an appropriate time to insert an often quoted portion of a speech by the first president of this George Washington. It is from his Farewell Address given in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1796, and his words still have the ring of truth today in 2003. “A passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation [Note: Israel], facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others, which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained [Note: Such as complying with UN Resolutions.], and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld; and it gives to ambitious, corrupted, and deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation [Note: Zionist Jewish Americans and their supporters, such as the Christian Right] ) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country without odium, sometimes even with popularity, gilding with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.”

Washington goes on to say, “As avenues to foreign influence in innumerable ways, such attachments are particularly alarming to the truly enlightened and independent patriot [such as myself and many others]. How many opportunities do they afford to domestic factions [Jewish lobby groups like AIPAC and think-tanks like JINSA] to practise the arts of seduction, to mislead public opinion, to the public councils! Such an attachment of a small or weak toward a great andpowerful nation dooms the former to be the satellite of the latter [or the other way around in the case of Israel and the U.S.]. Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow citizens), the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government. But that jealousy, to be useful, must be impartial, else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defense against it. Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of the influence on the other. Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite [Israel] are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people to surrender their interests. [My note: and their freedoms!] The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is, in extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political connection as possible.”

If only George Washington were around today to repeat this speech. I believe he would be truly appalled on the course that George W. Bush is leading the country today, completely pandering to the narrow interests of Israel, a country which has been regressing into racist, fascist apartheid and not progressing into the ideals that we Americans truly believe in: justice and liberty for ALL, regardless of religion, ethnicity or sex, and we have laws to back it up. Israel does not even have a constitution, and to again quote the Israeli Refusenik soldier in my documentary, Israel has “a racist, anti-democratic, apartheid regime.” America is betraying its own beliefs, ideals and best interests by supporting a country such as Israel. I believe it is high time that our government sever its “special relationship” with Israel, unless it transforms into a truly secular, democratic country renamed Palestine-Israel, with equal rights for all, including the right to return for all 5 million Palestinian refugees whose right it is to return to their ancestral homeland of Palestine-Israel, according to UN Resolutions, International Law and world opinion.

The power grab is between factions of the mega-rich, and their state and human pawns. Sharon and his Likud is meaningless without substantial financial backing from the Unification Church controlled Christian Right.

The battle for planet Earth is indeed a Clash of Civilizations. Either a secular vision prevails based on jurisprudential rights enforced by law and due process or the theology of the corporate state prevails: and this theology is aptly summed up by Neitzsche, the morality of the master is not the morality of the slave.
by Carl Wernerhoff (cwernerhoff [at] yahoo.com)
Dear Albion,

I would like to know more about the connection between the Unification church and the Christian right you refer to. One thing I have discovered is that the Unification church made major inroads in the early 1970s under Nixon - indeed, Nixon gave Moon a green card. Then the Christian right begins to appear around 5 years later. Is there a connection? (I think there must be because the Christian right is strangely comfortable with the Unification church, which would hardly be the case with orthdox Christians.) Can you recommend an information source on this subject?

I must say that it feels good that there are americans
that truly can see the big picture of what going on in the world today. I really hope that more people could open their eyes too. My father is a palestinian so I have lived with this all my life. I have never been to my "homeland" but I hope I will see the day when there is true peace in the region.
You really think you understand what is going on in the world? Not to get too personal here, but you sound like a fairly clueless person to me. Go read some real objective history about the Middle East. You'll find that A) Israel is a multi-cultural democracy were Arab Muslims have more rights than in any other Middle Eastern nation
B) Israel has been under continued attack since its inception
C) Even if Israel was destroyed (as it would be under your plan) the West would still have a major problem with Islamic Fundamentalism. In fact the extremists would only be empowered by their ability to get rid of Israel. What's next? Retaking Spain?

Here is some general reading material for your introduction to Radical Islamic Fundamentalism and its designs on the world.

Those seeking to identify a date for the commencement of the pitiless Muslim extremist campaign against America, should forget September 11, 2001. There is a far better candidate for that distinction. October 23, 1983 stands as America's first post-World War II "day of infamy."

That was the morning Hizbullah guerrillas ended the lives of 241 marines and more than 70 French soldiers at the Beirut barracks of the multinational peacekeeping forces in Beirut. The event claims its mark on history on two counts.

It was the first time a Muslim extremist group had caused mass casualties against a US target. It was also the first time since World War II that a US military force had failed to seek retribution for a mass attack against American servicemen. Acting under a cautious warning from secretary of defense Caspar Weinberger, the Reagan administration rejected retaliation against Hizbullah so as not to threaten a shaky relationship with Saudi Arabia. Instead, American forces were quickly recalled from Lebanon.

The failure to launch any significant reprisal against this slaughter of American peacekeepers, coupled with the hasty retreat, was to have catastrophic repercussions. Emboldened by its success, Hizbullah's power and prestige in southern Lebanon was greatly enhanced. In the next five years it consolidated its political control over southern Lebanon and took pride in the harassment of the Israeli forces lodged in the 23-km security zone the Israelis had created following their 1982 invasion.

From 1983 through 1992 the Israelis suffered 49 suicide attacks by Hizbullah guerrillas. Israel's hasty withdrawal in May 2000, mimicking the earlier US retreat, only confirmed what many Muslim extremists had concluded 17 years earlier: Neither the Israeli nor American military machines had the stomach for mass losses or for combating the threat of suicide bombing.

For the past 20 years Hizbullah, strengthened by support from the Iranian mullahs and given freedom of movement by the nominal rulers of Lebanon in Syria, became the virtual government of southern Lebanon. In doing so, it began the development of an international network of financiers and fund-raising operations that created a steady flow of both arms and cash into southern Lebanon.

Quietly Hizbullah became the model and inspiration for all extremist Muslim factions Sunni and Shi'ite alike.

It should therefore come as little surprise that investigations into the Paradise Hotel bombing and the attack on the Arkia plane in Mombasa are pointing to the likelihood of collusion between Hizbullah and al-Qaida.

IN FACT, a clear pattern is emerging that suggests Hizbullah is actively cooperating with al-Qaida. Western intelligence has now revealed a high level of cooperation between Osama bin Laden and Imad Muganiyeh, the Hizbullah terrorist who masterminded some of Hizbullah's most spectacular atrocities and kidnappings in Lebanon. Reports have Muganiyeh first meeting with bin Laden as early as 1995 and those meetings have continued regularly ever since.

More than this, since al-Qaida fled Afghanistan at the end of last year, the Sunday Telegraph reports, between 80 and 100 al-Qaida fighters were provided with false passports by Hizbullah before being relocated to southern Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The same report acknowledges that Hizbullah, working hand in hand with al-Qaida, has set up cells in the Far East - including in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore. It is well known that Hizbullah has operated in Gaza and the West Bank for years, but the recent revelation by the Shin Bet - that al-Qaida has now also joined them there - is chilling evidence of a new level of cooperation previously unsuspected.

Therefore in a post-Saddam world, bringing down Hizbullah, whose headquarters and whereabouts are no secret, should become the American military's No. 1 priority. Operating in conjunction with the IDF, the Hizbullah operation in Southern Lebanon must be brought to its knees, its operatives throughout the world identified and eliminated, and its financial network dismantled. Syria and Iran must be threatened with reprisals for their continued financial and strategic support of Hizbullah, and Saudi Arabia should be made to pay the diplomatic price for its two-faced attitude to the war on terror.

Pursuing al-Qaida may well slake a justified American thirst for revenge. But eliminating that organization's progenitor and model may, in the meantime, be just as effective in conveying a message to the purveyors of terror that the US government failed, so critically, to deliver 19 years ago.

It is an irony of Christmas that there is no peace in the Holy Land. Hardly a day goes by without word the Israelis have disarmed a bomb factory, stopped another suicide bomber or suffered another killing of a soldier or civilian. This has not been for lack of effort by Israelis to extend peace to the Arabs in their midst.
How many times have the Palestinians been offered peace by the Israelis and pulled back from it? Two years ago, Yassir Arafat, the winner of the most discredited international award, the Nobel Peace Prize, unleashed more terror on Israel.

Arafat, the father of modern terrorism, junked the Camp David agreement and the promise of the Oslo Accords, sanctioned suicide bombing of women, children, teenagers, and other non-combatants. He used a weapon the entire civilized world condemns, suicide-bombers.

The Intifada has yielded the exact opposite of its purpose. Simply put, the Israelis have won the Intifada, just as they won the five previous Arab wars waged against them.

All that the bombings and the murders have achieved has been to stiffen the resolve of the Israelis. Today, their army is in the West Bank cities of Ramallah, Nablus, and Bethlehem on a daily basis, rooting out the killers.

The land the Israelis, through the Oslo Accords, gave to the Palestinians has, for all intents and purposes, been reclaimed by Israel to protect its citizens. The Palestinian economy is in ruins and they are bereft of any real leadership. Except to complain that Osama bin Laden is hijacking the Palestinian struggle, Yassir Arafat has not been heard from since he was trapped in his Ramallah headquarters while parts of the building were literally being torn down from the outside.

In late November, Mahmoud Abbas, regarded as a possible successor to the 73-year-old Arafat, confirmed that comments he made at a closed-door meeting with officials of Fatah in October were true. What he said was this: "What happened in these two years, as we see it now, is a complete destruction of everything we built."

Abbas noted they resulted in "the complete destruction of everything we built (under Oslo), and of what was built before. We are living below the poverty line in Gaza and the West Bank; our people are in a situation of loss, starvation, and suffering."

This is the unfortunate for the so-called "Palestinians," a people who, factually, do not have a nation of their own, nor ever did. They are not a separate Arab population from others in the Middle East, but they are the oldest refugee population on earth, propped up since the late 1940s with massive United Nations funding and recipients of funding from European Union nations and Islamic nations who have used them as the lightning rod of hatred for Israel.

Can Palestinians, i.e. Muslims, live in peace with the Israelis? It seems doubtful to all but the most optimistic. Until Arafat declared "Palestinians" to be a distinct group within the Arabs of the Middle East that concept did not even exist. It is a fiction like everything else Arafat has said.

Abbas asked Fatah, the Palestinian terrorist organization founded by Arafat, to end its reliance on guns and mortars. With an irony that could only exist in the Middle East, Abbas is supported by the views of Israel's Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon.

Speaking of a deal for peace and an end to the violence, Sharon told an Israeli newspaper, "I don't believe there is a statesman who would oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state." There are two conditions, however. It would have to be completely demilitarized and Israel would retain control over borders. Sharon is joined in this by President Bush who has called upon the Palestinians to "dismantle the terrorist infrastructure," "end the incitement," and "elect new leaders not compromised by terror."

The dilemma faced by Mahmoud Abbas and the self-proclaimed Palestinians is that the concept of making peace with the Israelis - Jews - is virtually inconceivable to Arabs. Only the Egyptian and Jordanian governments have abandoned formal hostilities and both have benefited from the decision, but Egypt remains a hotbed of anti-Semitic propaganda.

The dilemma is further aggravated by the fact that the Islam of the Middle East is not about peace. Fundamentalist Islam is about the endless holy war that must be waged until the entire world yields to it. Islam is about the bottomless, mindless hatred Muslims harbor toward Jews. Without the Jews to blame, Arabs will have only themselves as the cause of their miseries.

Arafat has known no other goal than the extinction of all Jewish life in Israel. Mahmoud Abbas has shown both courage and wisdom in trying to reason with Fatah, the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, Hizbullah, and all the other endless Islamic organizations for whom the Intifada has been their only reason to exist.

Reason, however, remains in short supply among the "Palestinians" and their Arab brothers. It died, in part, when the first "martyr" agreed to kill himself in order to kill Jews. Desperation is no substitute for reason, tolerance, and forgiveness.

It sort of amazes me that these people, like 'Paul,' write these long diatribes that are so one sided and boring and like long-winded propaganda that if feels like it's a corporation churing these rants out and plugging them endlessly into every site it can fit them in on the net.

Almost matrix like.

I noticed the other day there were more news stories about the three Israelis who were recently killed (after the IDF murdered 9 Palestinians, at least 3 of them civilians) in Israel than the entire situation in North Korea.

That sort of says it all.

Notice the key word in your own writing paul. One of those words was Invasion. Now who was doing the invasion? And what is their justification?

Oh BTW you do know who Mr Sharon is right? He's not somebody we want shaking hands with America but it would appear that he is doing such.

Go read some of our founding fathers commentary regarding government and foreign politics. If you actually read and not just remembered what you want to remember, you might see some sad things taking place that he might not agree with. (Poor old GW would be turning in his grave if he saw what Rich old GB was doin!)

...if I were to take what you commented as a model of current status regarding the Is'z and Pal'z I would have to ignore the recent school children shot by Isreal soldiers. I can't do that.

Then again, opinions are like Arse holes. Everybody has one and they all stink. Equally abundant are wars and conflicts, and those stink regardless and lack justification. Killing is only justified by psychopaths. Remember that.

What Really Happens At Whatreallyhappened.com?
S. Boyle

The role of the conspiracy theorist is not to provide answers but to
raise the questions not being asked - to sniff out suspicious patterns
and duplicitous sources. Casting a critical eye at mainstream media is
but one necessary task, casting a critical eye at self-proclaimed
independent media is another - after all, conspiracies don't
conveniently end at corporate boundaries.

Whatreallyhappened.com is one independent website widely referenced by
conspiracy theorists the world over. Yet for a website dedicated to
exposing hidden truths, there is a suspicious lack of information
about those who support the enterprise. Only the editorial commentator
Michael Rivero is a public identified participant, as referenced by a
couple links to off-site interviews (home page, bottom left corner).

While it is true that Michael Rivero's has been published numerous
times on well-established sites like Rense, the Yellow Times, and the
World Net Daily, strangely his interviews were conducted by two
obscure websites, GoOff! and BankIndex. This peculiar choice of "media
outlets" as a promotional tool deserved a closer look.

The GoOff.com interview: - http://www.gooff.com/news/read.asp?ID=1543
GoOff! is backed by Dandelion Books, LLC
(http://www.dandelionbooks.net), who happens to be the publisher of
Michael Rivero's soon to be released hard-back, Cyber Soldiers And
Silicon Patriots: The New Face Of Political Dissent (ISBN189330230X -
$18.95). GoOff! purports to tell the "...truth uncensored" -
conveniently packaged as Dandelion books, advertised on-site, and
available for purchase or redistribution through their affiliate
program. Overseeing the entire operation is a corporate entity named
PMC4, LLC.

The BankIndex interview: - http://www.bankindex.com/wrh/
The three-part interview conducted by J. Conti (who also writes for
GoOff.com) is displayed between advertisements for loans,
foreclosure notices, debt consolidations, and credit cards offers
endorsed by BankIndex. The financial services site also "provides a
global platform upon which the Financial Businesses of the world can
showcase their product lines and services" and "for select Financial
Institutions we offer a highly competitive fee structure to be
included in our different promotional plans 'Showcase' arena."
(http://www.bankindex.com/company/aboutus.asp) It just so happens that
BankIndex is a division of PMC4, LLC.

So why would Michael Rivero, an avowed anti-globalist, anti-corporate
champion of the truth be working for (or very closely with) a
corporate operation like PMC4, LLC?
(http://www.pmc4.com/version2/index.asp Perhaps a better to ask is
what kind of business is the Aventura, Florida corporation?

"From web hosting to options to mutli-faceted revenue generation
strategies, PMC4, LLC offers a variety of services and solutions
intended to optimize your path to profitability.", and their objective
is to specialize "in assisting small to medium sized businesses as
well as Fortune 100 companies whose resence on the Internet is more
than ancillary to their core business."
http://www.pmc4.com/version2/objective.asp

The "About Us" section reveals five key figures behind the PMC4
corporate structure: James P. Garib, founder of an Intellectual
property development firm; Peter Sordjan, a technology-focused
financial entrepreneur; Ruben D. Lupulescu, a former computer engineer
for Hughes Electronics and DirectTV Latin America; Lawrence D.
Kruguer, a seasoned marketing VP for fat-cats like American Express,
SportsLine, and Alamo Rent-a-Car; and Rico M. Sogocio, attorney and
former member of the United States Department of Justice.

As you might have guessed, the aforementioned Dandelion Books belongs
to the family of PMC4 holdings. The publishing firm is presided by
Carol Adler, an experienced ghostwriter specializing in Christian and
family writing (http://www.dandelionbooks.net/pr/interview.html).
Naturally, conspiracies are the staple product of this publisher and
Carol Adler is more than happy to review her company's products as
evidenced by this piece from Rense (glowing praise for Gordon Thomas's
book detailing Chinese plans to attack the U.S. via Canada).

Shifting the focus back to Michael Rivero, he is a self-described
"twenty-year veteran in all aspects of TV and feature film production
with an emphasis in film effects and computer animation", and
"co-founder and producer at Home Baked Music, a Hawaii-based
production company."
His list of credits includes; "director of film projects for Robert
Abel & Associates, where he was responsible for animation and computer
graphics, and optical processing. Prior to Abel, he was employed by
Hanna Barbera Productions as a computer graphics engineer and helped
create various innovative strides in animation. Mr. Rivero was also on
the feature film staff of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation and
through his career has assisted and been involved with feature films
and television shows such as "Valley of the Dolls" (M-O-W), "Star
Trek" (the motion picture), and NBC's "Amazing Stories" (series),
among many others. Mr. Rivero's awards credits include gold, silver,
and bronze medals from the New York International Film Festivals, two
Clios in graphics, the Cable Car award at the San Francisco Film
Festival, an Emmy nomination, and gold & silver Hugos"
http://www.wwmpc.com/The%20WWMPC%20Management.htm

As for his writing credentials, Rivero's credits prove to be less
stellar. For example, Michael Rivero's challenge of Vincent Foster's
suicide, as documented by Dan E. Moldea's published research, was
never satisfactorily resolved:
http://www.moldea.com/Riveropost.html
http://www.moldea.com/Rivero.html

In a Free Republic post at 16:55:55 PST on 12/31/2000, professional
conspiracy theorist and Clinton-hater Michael Rivero made a series of
false and misleading claims about my honest, wholly-responsible, and
well-researched 1998 book, A Washington Tragedy: How the Death of
Vincent Foster Ignited a Political Firestorm. Rivero's participation
in this thread was apparently provoked by an earlier defense, posted
by Kevin Fornshill, the U.S. Park Police (USPP) officer who discovered
Foster's body at Fort Marcy Park. In fact, Rivero's post was a
response to Fornshill, who had lauded my work on the Foster case. (To
read the first chapter of this book, please click "First
Chapters.")...

...final note: I attempted to post this reply to Rivero's shoddy work
at the Free Republic on January 3. However, when I attempted to log
on, I discovered that I had been permanently banned from the site,
apparently for having
the audacity to go there and aggressively defend myself from time to
time. (See: The Free Republic must be held accountable.)

After an exchange of e-mails, Jim Robinson, the overlord of the Free
Republic, confirmed the banning to me, insisting, "I do not want
trouble on the website." However, in an obvious effort to protect his
legal position, Robinson then deleted the entire thread on which
Rivero's irresponsible statements were made.

Nevertheless, my response stands.

More troubling was this brazen misquote caught by sharp-eyed blogger,
Damian Penny:

20.5.02
This is long overdue, but CAMERA, a pro-Israel media watchdog, has
confirmed that Ariel Sharon's "We, the Jewish people, control America"
quote (http://world.std.com/%7Ecamera/docs/alert/geyer.html) is a
hoax.

(I sent this article to Michael Rivero, who repeats the quote 5 or 6
times a day. Let's see if he responds.) 7:57PM

.....

Rivero responds! Wow. Michael Rivero actually responded to an e-mail I
sent drawing his attention to the story debunking Ariel Sharon's
alleged "We, the Jewish people, control America" quote. He didn't
mention that story, though. Instead, he pounced upon my pointing out
that the false quote was spread by a group linked to Hamas - which
Rivero calls an Israeli front group. Here's the complete text of his
message:

The same HAMAS that was set up and funded by Shin Bet to be Arafat's
opposition, yeah, I know them.

Oh, touche!

A history lesson: there's a very tiny kernel of truth in Rivero's
statement. It seems hard to believe, but at one point the Israelis
did funnel money to Hamas
(http://www.newstatesman.com/nssubsfilter.htm) as part of a
divide-and-conquer strategy. Initially they were more opposed to
Arafat than they were to the Israelis, though there seems to have been
a thaw in recent years. (Arafat does allow Hamas to run schools and
other services within his territory, after all.)

Needless to say, the strategy has come back to haunt the Israelis,
time and time again - not unlike America's funding of the anti-Soviet
mujahadeen in Afghanistan, some of whom later became the Taliban. It's
a gigantic leap, however, to comclude that Hamas - which calls for the
complete destruction of Israel and establishment of a strict Islamic
state - is secretly a pro-Israel group whose sole mission is to give
Ariel Sharon an excuse to kill Palestinians. But then again, if
there's one thing we know about Michael Rivero, he has no problem with
making gigantic logical leaps 6:39 AM
http://damianpenny.blogspot.com/2002_05_19_damianpenny_archive.html#76792455

Micael Rivero even went so far as to suggest that the infamously
inaccurate Ariel Sharon quote was cited by Robert Fisk:

06/26/02
(http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/story.jsp?story=309115)
Robert Fisk: I wonder why Bush doesn't let Sharon run his press office
"I want to tell you something very clear, don't worry about American
pressure on Israel, we, the Jewish people control America, and the
Americans know it."-- Ariel Sharon to Shimon Peres, October 3rd, 2001,
as reported on Kol Yisrael radio.

It should come as no surprise that Michael Rivero's deliberately
promoted one of the most vindictive 9/11 myths
(http://www.stardocs.hit.bg/wtc.htm), attributed by investigators like
snopes.com (http://www.snopes2.com/rumors/israel.htm) to Al-Manar
Television, "A Lebanese TV station that aims to preserve the islamic
values and to enhance the civilized role of the Arab and Islamic
Community. Al-Manar is the first Arab establishment to stage an
effective psychological warfare against the Zionist enemy."

Before the dust had settled from the collapse of the World Trade
Towers, Israel's foreign ministry had expressed concern for the well
being of 4000 Israelis known to have worked in or near the World Trade
Towers. But almost immediately, stories of such concern vanished from
the media amid reports in the foreign press which claimed that
Israelis who worked in or near the World Trade Towers were
specifically given advanced warnings not to go to work on 9-11. One
Israeli owned company, Odigo, had received a two hour advance warning
of the attacks.

Israeli supporters were soon flooding the US media with denials of the
story. Even when the US media's spiking of the Israeli spy ring/phone
tap story proved a clear pro-Israel propaganda bias, the claim that
Israelis working in the area of the WTC were preferentially absent on
9-11 was still dismissed as an internet legend.

Now, however, as the final tally of 9-11 victims is being generated,
CNN's own website, which lists 9-11 victims by nationality, shows that
only one Israeli, Alona Avraham, died in the 9-11 attacks and that Mr.
Avraham was not in or near the WTC, but a passenger on one of the
hijacked aircraft.

Because of Odigo, it is beyond question warnings were sent to Israeli
owned or linked companies in the area of the WTC. Because of the
almost complete absence of Israelis among the victims, it is now
apparent how widespread that warning had to have been.

No retraction or correction has ever been for any of these statements.
Perhaps it's due in large perhaps to Michael Rivero's conspiratorial
pedigree. Long before whatreallyhappened, Michael Rivero gained
national exposure for his part in the TWA Flight 800 controversy"
(http://www.newsday.com/news/nytwa97-ncon314.story). Yet earlier still
he was collaborating with a subversive American para-military group,
the Special Forces Underground
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/military/commandos/20000918-0010_mz1n18racist.html

Led by Green Beret Steven Barry, the self-proclaimed "commander" of
the secretive group of disgruntled US military elite forces members,
Barry also served as editor of the quarterly newsletter, "The
Resister." Routine commentary vigorously sanctioned a white
supremacist agenda; "The United States military was created by white
men for white men to defend a white nation. It wasn't designed as a
multicultural, diverse, touchy-feely, huggy-snuggly social experiment
in race relations. ... Twenty years ago, you could trust a black to do
a job. Now it' s questionable."

...AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR READERS
For the past two months our observers have been reporting that some
readers are questioning the integrity of contributors to The RESISTER
because they choose to be known by pseudonyms rather then their real
names. This is a legitimate concern and it deserves to be answered at
length.

First, no contributor is obliged to use a pseudonym, as anybody who
has actually READ the first issue can tell you. Second, the decision
to require staff members and regular contributors to use pseudonyms
was an OPSEC issue, not an ethical one.

Third, there is a historical precedent we follow which, if not already
familr to you, in all likelihood never will be, and is therefore none
of your business. Fourth, publishing The RESISTER is a security risk
in its own right, let alone referring to in tradecraft and
organization. Really, what DO they teach you guys in the Q-course
these days?

The RESISTER is a response to the altruistic cannibalism which is
consuming the principle of inalienable individual rights upon which
this nation was founded and which have been served-up in sacrifice to
the mob god of democracy, the minority god of tribalism, the nature
god of environmentalism, the slave god of collectivism, and the
statist god of socialism.

Do you want to know who we are? We are the individuals who conceive
the ideas the cretinous mob calls "the team effort." We are the
individuals whose excellence is subverted by the racist policy of
"equal opportunity." We are the independent, innovative, and creative
who have been enslaved to serve the "greater good." Without us you
would still be prying roots out of ground with a pointed stick.

It would be a great comfort and convenience for the myriad
unconstitutional federal agencies to note us, categorize us, and file
us away for future "reference." We will not give them an early chance,
nor will we be goaded into identifying ourselves by sneering comments
about anonymous writers.

Every whim based, undefined, un-judicable law it passes; every
unconstitutional gang of armed badge wielding thugs it deploys; every
unconstitutional agency it creates; every incomprehensible special
interest regulation it mandates; every dime extorted through taxation
and redistributed to the incompetent and undeserving; every American
life lost in some altruistic war, humanitarian assistance, or
peacekeeping operation, demonstrates the illegitimacy of the federal
government.

The federal government os not "of the people," it is the instrument of
pull-peddlers. It is not "by the people," it is the toady of special
interests. It is not "for the people," it is the exercise of force for
the sake of force.

Pass laws against us; we will not obey. Regulate our activities; we
will not comply. Legislate our behavior; we will not consent.

We are freemen. We will not be subjugated. We have the guns to prove
it.

Clearly Michael Rivero has called into question his own integrity as a
purveyor of truth with suspicious connections and prejudicial
innuendo. It stands to reason that Michael Rivero's intentions for
whatreallyhappened is not to promote truth but a contrarian political
agenda - just as militant, manipulative, and deceitful as its
opposition. While no one is suggesting that he US Government is
without significant problems worth investigation, what must never be
taken for granted is the benevolence of self-proclaimed watchdogs.

"That's not to say that What Really Happened is the conduit to truth.
But what the web site does is let people know that there are ways to
find out what is going on if what one is being told by the media does
not make sense.

I think that the nation is in the trouble it is in because people were
conditioned to watch a talking head on the TV and believe what that
talking head was saying. People need to stop relying on other people
to tell them what reality is and rely on their own analytical ability
to figure out what is going on"

Never mind that, but thanks anyway surfer stevie - I only wrote all that crap you cited because I was mad at Michael for criticizing my book. He also accidentally bumped me in the jaw once, which caused the accidental circumcision of my brother.

I've since seen my psychiatrist and must say that I'm feeling much better now! But my brother is, well, still a little sore you know...

I can't belive you think this whole war with iraq is Israels fault. We did not have to get involved. It was the U.S.'s fault to get involved. We were just helping out on eof our allies and I think things are getting way out of hand.

I suggest that you can effectively stop a large amount of bigotry in the world by just shutting up.

There exists no reputable news source that Israel began the 1948 war. 5 Arab armies attacked Israel in that war, including Iraq which is quite far away. It is also not disputted that Egypt started the 1967 war by ordering the UN out of its peace keeping mission in Gaza and closing off Israel's southern port city. It's interesting that you claim that Egypt fought a preemptive war in 1973 even though Israel had not threatened Egypt (as Egypt had threatened to erase Israel from the map in 1967); even after waging and losing that war, all Egypt needed to do to get the Sinai back was sign a peace agreement. Almost every historical fact you've listed is similiarly disputable, although it's pretty obvious that Israel doesn't help the US get oil, since it doesn't have any.

All your arguments are poorly made. Most of them are mendacious and I'm really wondering what Boston college you were capable of graduating with such poor reasoning skills (we're not talking Harvard material...)
