Adam: army said men, women, and children have to come out of Balata and Jenin refugee camps with their hands up.. the Israelis demolishing homes with people inside.. Red Cross says catastrophic.. Balata one of the most packed refugee camp, 1 kilometer square, 15,000 people live there.. there are fighters in the camps, there to defend the camps.. using old rifles, Israelis using tanks, shelling.. they are indescriminate.. now w Abu Salam Al-Sayat: a lot happening.. they are surrounding Balata with tanks, they warn the loudspeakers the people to come out with a white flag over their heads, no one came out.. I have a small video camera.. but no international media here.. yesterday I was video taping from the roof, they started shooting at the roof.. the old city of Nablus, very big, big as Jerusalem.. the soldiers have not entered yet.. 35 people killed in the old city of Nablus.. 60 people buried in the ruins.. they can not be rescued.. Dennis: US weaponry being turned on camps.. Adam: the attack on Jenin the same.. they ordered the people out and when no one came out, they started destroying the camp.. just a last few minutes we started hearing shooting.. explosions all day, the Education Building on fire.. ambulances are prevented from moving.. people bleeding to death in the streets.. downtown Ramallah looks like Beruit in 1982.. rubble and glass everywhere.. all windows broken.. Dennis: internationals tried to form a human shield for an ambulance, carrying a sign referencing the 4th Geneva Convention.. turned back with tear gas and sound bombs, unable to reach the Church.. Adam: reports from the Zinni meeting with Arafat.. Zinni tried to get Arafat to sign a truce.. but Israel escalates.. TIME FOR AN INTERNATIONAL PEACEKEEPING FORCE.. Abu Salam: more tanks are coming.. no one is surrendering.. the attack is starting again, can you hear?.. many houses on fire.. a densely populated camp, 1 kilometer square with 40,000 people normally, more crowded than Cairo (sounds of automatic shooting).. Abu Salam: a huge fire in the camp.. Dennis: the US has supplied the tanks, the heliocopters for this ongoing slaughter, your tax dollars at work.. Adam: people may be wondering why people are not coming out.. in 1948, and 1967 the Isreali forced people out of their homes, into the West Bank and Gaza, and Lebanon and beyond.. they have decided they will flee no more..

Jenin is facing a massacre.. a phone message from someone in Jenin.. Sam reads: heavy bombardment by tank and heliocopters.. wife and kids are screaming.. no water, no food.. where is the conscience of the world?.. tanks firing into the city, I can hear kids screaming everytime that happens.. Adam: Israel is claiming that this is defence, but this is obviously an offensive action.. END THE OCCUPATION, ABANDON THE SETTLEMENTS.. WE HAVE SEEN THIS KIND OF THING BEFORE.. WHERE IS THE UN, WHERE IS NATO?..

Dr.: we have one person dead here yesterday.. lying in the street about 45 meters from the hospital.. we couldn't get to him to help him.. went out with white flag.. the soldiers shot.. the man cried out, help me, help me, I am going to die.. we tried many times to reach him, but were unable.. Dr: the condition is very bad in Jenin Camp.. we receive many calls, but.. the Red Cross and Red Crescent unable to reach these camps.. many dead people in the road.. two hours ago, a man called, his wife ready to deliver.. we unable to send a car or ambulance.. we talked with the Red Cross, to bring this lady.. but they were unable, and she deliver at home.. many houses destroyed in Jenin Camp.. here at the hospital we have very little fuel left for our generator.. share a little bread for 3-4 persons.. 4 days without a bath.. (laughs weakly)..
-08:00 Dennis: now w a lady from the Palestine Monitor.. Lady: ambulances are being blocked, emergency relief teams being shot upon.. the snipers shot the water tanks on the roof of the hospital.. Dennis: we hear that the Israeli forces are bombing people in their houses.. Lady: they have been bulldozing houses with people in them.. dropping tear gas on the refugee camps, shooting live ammunition from heliocopters.. bulldozing houses, rounded up women and holding them in yards.. personally, I don't know why the Israelis are doing this.. punishing the civilian population.. the poorest people in all of Palestine.. trying to subjugate these people, thinking if they punish them enough they will give up..

I asked Ron Dellums, why does Congress always -- sit in in Barbara Boxers office, sit in DiFi's office, blind support for Israel.. a dangerous thing our Congress is doing.. I've been going back and forth for 10 days getting money over there.. people in Gaza have no food, no medicine in Bethlehem.. an 8 year old girl in Dehaisha needs chemotherapy, no there -- I'll come to anybody's house and do a slide show.. call me 510-548-0542.. SOS calls from the Jenin, 1 k sq, home to 15,000 people, heavy black smoke arising.. bulldozers have been brought in and are demolishing homes.. we are being massacred and no one making it stop.. Dennis: yesterday Palestinian Childrens Day.. Sam: my two year old freezes everytime she hears gunfire, tank.. my 7 year old asked yesterday if we are going to make it through.. on the calendar, she wrote, if the tanks leave, I have music practice on Monday.. now w Wassin Abdullah in Ramallah, technical director of local non-profit educational TV station.. Wassin: when the Israelis came into Ramallah, they occupied the TV stations.. arrested everybody, and put pornographic tapes on the stations, broadcast all over the city.. we were all on curfew, everyone was watching TV, women, children, everyone.. this went on for a day and a half, then they brought in sledge hammers, started destroying equipment.. yesterday the open the curfew for two hours, I drove to the station and tried to get in, was not allowed in..
