3/23 Labor Committee March

by Charles Slay (slaycslay [at] aol.com)
The Labor Committee for Peace and Justice sponsored a march March 23 in downtown Oakland against the "war on terrorism." About one thousand people marched. Speakers defended labor against the excesses of the war on terrorism.

One speaker at the demonstration denounced Bush's policies towards immigrant airport screeners. Richard Mead, president of Local 10 of the ILWU spoke out against the Bush administration's attacks on labor following September 11.

Good job to have this on the net same day.

Bush wasts US taxes and isolates the country by not subordinating to the international community.

I'd like him being deselected that the consequences don't hit the whole US one day.
