Taco Bell Boycott March in SF 3/8

In San Francisco's Mission District March 8, several hundred people rallied and marched in support of Florida farmworkers calling for a boycott of Taco Bell.

TOP: Father Bill O’Donnell speaks in support of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers in their Mission District rally March 8. The CIW is from Immokalee, Florida, the heart of the Florida tomato industry. Several hundred turned out for their rally and march.

Middle: Guerilla theater put across the farmworkers’ message. They stopped in San Francisco as part of a fifteen-city cross-country caravan. They are asking for a boycott of Taco Bell to pressure the company to help them meet their goals of decent wages, benefits and working conditions.

Bottom: Demonstrators at the Taco Bell at Sixteenth and Mission Streets. The caravan of protesters is headed now for Taco Bell headquarters in Irvine, where they expect to meet with Taco Bell representatives March 11.
