Humboldt Pirate Radio was visited again by the FCC.
To Whom It Might Concern,

On Sept. 25th, 26th, and again on the 27th 94.9 FM, Humboldt Pirate Radio
was visited by agents with the FCC.

Monday the 25th at about 10:00 PM DJ Pinky Royal was finishing his show
when two men approached the van. Yes, we are/where in a van.
They wrote a citation and left. Pinky went off the air. A few hours later
some DJs went back, gave an update on what had happened and continued with
the regularly scheduled programming.
Prier to this, they had bullied their way into the building were the
transmitter is stored and photographed lots of stuff. Residents there did
not allow them to take any equipment.
Programming stopped Tues. afternoon to handle some technical issues and
prepare for a meeting of the radio collective that night. In the interim
the agents returned, photographed the van, the antennae mounted nearby, a
few suspected DJs, and the surrounding area.
That night the group met to form a plan. Out of this came a decision to go
back on the air and continue broadcasting.
Weds. morning they were back again. They had a lengthy talk with a few
people there, took more pictures, drew diagrams of what they could see, and
went on their way.
At this point several concerned citizens moved the van and all the goods to
an undisclosed location. We hope to hear from them soon.
