State Officials Betray Voters, Hijack Mental Health Tax to Fund Forced Treatment Flouting the will of the voters and the dismissing mental health clients' demands, the California Department of Mental Health announced Tuesday that the agency will allow counties to use funds from Proposition 63, the recently passed Mental Health Services Act, for involuntary treatment, including court-ordered outpatient commitment. Cesar Chavez honored in Salinas, la lucha sigue... 
On Sunday April 3, more than 1,200 people marched through the streets of Salinas and rallied at the Cesar Chavez Library. While we honored the life struggle of Cesar Chavez, we too struggle to keep the Libraries open in Salinas. Conncetions were easily made between the US government policy of endless war around the world and the closing of community resources such as the entire library system....
