Animal Rights Activists Return to KFC on Mission St. (audio/mpeg 2.5MB)
On November 5, a small group of animal rights activists demonstrated in front of the KFC on Mission St., a busy road which is also Highway 1 in Santa Cruz. The number of customers in the restaurant quickly dwindled and passing motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, KFC customers and an employee that encountered the protesters were either very supportive of the demonstration or willing to listen to and learn from the protesters.

Press Release on Arrrests at Minuteman Rally Saturday
This is the press release that was sent out on Saturday night right after the demonstration against the Minuteman Project. The Sacramento Bee reported that 600 people counter-demonstrated against the Minutemen and only 200 showed up at their rally on the Capitol's west steps. I hope to do a longer update later today or tomorrow morning. What happened on the different branches of the San Francisco halloween critical mass of 10/29/05? There were several thousand people in costumes, for a traditionally big ride. After the broadway tunnel, the group of people around me went to the mousetrap. I heard others went towards the Castro. If you have photos, upload them.
