Now look toward June 2006 election,
when we must beat fascist amendment which bans domestic partnerships (as well as gay marriages)....

For around a dozen Democrats in the CA Assembly, political ambition outweighs their ethical principles. They know marriage equality is morally right; but they fear ( perhaps correctly) that California voters aren't yet ready....

While the first vote was unsuccessful, several Assemblymembers have not
yet voted and the Assembly could bring the measure up for another vote
this week....
