Petition Against Parking Garage Paranoia & Update
The Cabrillo Student Body President and the Head of the Cabrillo Democrats testified at the last City Council meeting against the Public Works Department's latest shutdown of public space. The law to ban everyone (but especially homeless people) from parking garages entirely, and limit motorists to fifteen minutes, passed City Council on May 9th 6-1, and comes back for a final reading on May 23rd....

The Lone Protester
A powerful statement can be made by one lone protester. People often think they have to wait to *follow* someone else leading a protest, or for someone else to *join* them, before they can protest properly. But my street performer mentality says there is no time like now to launch a protest, anywhere. Street performers do not like to *wait* for someone to tell them where they can perform. And it would behoove the honest dissidenter to embrace similar sentiments....

One year I was doing a song called “Vasectomy,” and I decided to make it a circus on stage. The signer was signing crazy stuff, like “Vasectomy, just like a navel orange, I’ve been freed, it’s all juice, and there’s no seed!
