Bus Leaving Friday from SF to No Border Encuentro in San Diego--Reserve your seat Now!
The Bay Area Coalition to Fight the Minutemen is organizing a bus to leave San Francisco on Friday night at 10 pm to go down to San Diego for the No Border Encuentro. The cost is $30 per person (this is to cover the cost of gas and the bus). Aug. 27-28, the Organic Collective is hosting a No Border Encuentro in San Diego. There will be two fun-packed days of border tours, music, speakers, workshops, direct action training, and strategy sessions....

I know there is an event in the works for Oakland in the evening, and also the Alameda County Green Party is hoping to feature a 9/11 event for their monthly 'Green Sunday' which happens on 9/11 in Sept. Last year, on September 5, 2004, Dyron Brewer died in the CYA’s Chad youth prison.
We are marking this horrific event and honoring Dyron’s life with a mass memorial
and march. The “No More Lost Lives” memorial event will be held in Stockton (home

In a ruling issued in a case argued by Lambda Legal, the California Supreme Court said that if businesses in California provide benefits to married couples they must also extend them on equal terms to same-sex couples who are registered domestic partners....
