'04 Klamath River salmon spawning run, may be lowest on record!
Fish counters on the Klamath have noticed that this year's fall Chinook run
seems shockingly low. Nat Pennington who works for the Salmon River
Restoration Council, a non- profit that works with tribes and agencies to

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation's largest animal protection organization, today commended California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for signing S.B. 1520, which bans the force feeding of ducks and geese for pate de foie gras production and prohibits the sale of products resulting from that process....

Schwarzenegger Terminates Form of Animal Cruelty
Demonstrating he truly cares about the welfare of animals, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger today signed SB 1520 into law, a bill that bans the force feeding of ducks and geese in the production of foie gras. The bill also bans the sale of the product when made from force fed birds, both provisions taking effect in California in the year 2012....

Account of Eastbay car caravan to homes of Huntingdon customer employees
Tri Valley Herald article about the animal rights car caravan that had announced in various places that they would meet in Oakland and travel to (high level) employees of customers of Huntingdon Life Sciences. It's not clear if the targets were connected with Chiron or other companies, but there was a similar action last week which was widely reported where a CEO's house was damaged....
