Unemployment rates in the Central Valley are three times the national average. Figures just released shows Fresno County unemployment at 15.9% in March. Merced County unemployment is at 18.3% and Kings County is at 17.1%. These figures do not reflect the number of people working part time or who have given up looking for work altogether. In some rural communities the “official” unemployment rate is over 50%....
