Last we heard Lennar BVHP LLC went to Sacramento, trying to pull a fast one and failed to borrow $25 million. Earlier, they borrowed money to pay consultants like Eric Jaye to fight the Bayview community and Proposition F. So, we hear and it is in the news - Lennar is declaring bankruptcy left, right, and center. Santa Cruz closes all public space due to low humidity
The park locations cited as being entirely closed include some city parks entirely surrounded by residential and business areas. Santa Cruz has a high population of homeless who are not served by shelters and live in parks and marginal land areas. Shelter space is particularly inadequate during summer, when some winter church shelters close. There have been three major fires near Santa Cruz this year due to dry and windy la nina conditions.

Army Turning Trash Into Energy
TGER is small enough to fit into a CONEX container, but powerful enough to power a standard 60-kilowatt generator. TGER works by turning the solid trash into fuel pellets which are fed into a down-draft gasifier. The gasifier then heats the pellets, and breaks them down into a synthetic gas composed of simple hydrocarbons that resembles low-grade propane. TGER processes the liquid and food waste into a hydrous ethanol which is blended with the syngas to create usable energy....

Gentrifiers Scared From Castro by Roving Pack of Drag Queens!
Eleven drag queens leafletted the Castro to promote their effort to take back San Francisco for poor, working class, middle class, disabled, and elderly queers. They leafletted all the local bars except Badlands. Which was purposely avoided. Talk was that the leafletting caused a substantial litter problem....
