Qibya and Sharon: 50 Years Later
Of the first 42 bodies recovered after the attack, 38 were women and children...Describing the scene, a UN observer stated that 'Bullet-riddled bodies near the doorways and multiple bullet hits on the doors of the demolished houses indicated that the inhabitants had been forced to remain inside until their homes were blown up over them.'...

U.S. Vetoes UN Resolution condemning Israel's Apartheid Wall
The Wall is just another land grab which encloses most of the Palestinians' water resources. On one side there are Israeli luxury condos (paid for with our tax dollars) and on the other poor Palestinian ghettos. And in other places it separates Palestinians from Palestinians by going straight through their towns and villages....

DAVE KERSTING: EQUALITY-only solution which can lead to sustainable peace Israel/Palestine
Dave Kersting's brilliance is due to his plain philosophical approach to the Israel/Palestine conflict. The simplicity of this approach is due to the fact that it rests on principles to which no one can object (like an insistence on "equality" and "integration" between Israeli and Palestinian people which is the only solution which can lead to a sustainable, long term settlement of this conflict)....

Middle East Surprises for Americans—and Not Only in Iraq
While the “road map” is widely described as a “peace plan,” in Arab eyes, “peace” in Israel/Palestine requires ending the Israeli occupation, not crushing all resistance to it. Indeed, in most of the world true “peace” is recognized to require some measure of “justice,” a word rigorously avoided by successive American governments in connection with their successive “peace plans.” If one reads the “road map,” it is readily apparent that it builds on a false premise to reach an unbelievable co...

WARNING: Syria is next in the lineup of endless wars. Israel's Bush-Backed Attack on Syria
Syria, long vilified by the neocons in charge of the White House, was bound to come under either U.S. or proxy attack. Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle are determined to bring down the Baathist regime. In July, Undersecretary of State John Bolton, who wants to expand the "Axis of Evil" to include Syria, and who has a history of making asinine accusations about Third World countries designed to justify preemptive U.S. attacks, was supposed to tell members of a House of Representative...

When at a Loss, Escalate -- Strategy behind Israel's bombing of Syria
On Saturday, October 4, Hanadi Jaradat, 29, blew herself up in a restaurant in Haifa, killing 20 people including herself. American media, as usual, reported Jaradat's act without context. But Jaradat, a law school graduate, was reportedly avenging the death of her brother and cousin, murdered on June 12 in Jenin by Israeli death squads, who, according to LAW Society, apparently shot them after taking them in custody....
