Pictures From the 4/14 Strike At UCB
Thousands of UCB staff and students as well as many labor activists took part in an all day strike and picket in Berkeley. The rally reached its largest point around 4PM when Robert J. Birgeneau was sworn in as chancellor. Birgeneau eventually came outside and addressed the crowd. (more reports and details will be posted shortly)...

Tonight Citizen Police Review Board Hearing 6:15 Oakland City Hall
Tonight at 6:15 the Citizen Police Review Board will be meeting to hold a hearing in the Oakland City Hall Council Chambers. The complaintant alleges that two Oakland Police Officers discriminated on the basis of race, improperly searched his vehicle, and were rude an unprofessional. The hearing is open to the public....
