I know there is an event in the works for Oakland in the evening, and also the Alameda County Green Party is hoping to feature a 9/11 event for their monthly 'Green Sunday' which happens on 9/11 in Sept. Last year, on September 5, 2004, Dyron Brewer died in the CYA’s Chad youth prison.
We are marking this horrific event and honoring Dyron’s life with a mass memorial
and march. The “No More Lost Lives” memorial event will be held in Stockton (home

Justice for Everardo Torres
A march and rally was held in Madera California (about 20 miles North of Fresno) demanding justice in the murder of Everardo Torres. Torres was killed while handcuffed in the back of a police car. Madera police officer Marcy Noriega shot him through the heart at point blank range....

Criminal Charges on Maribel Cuevas are Dropped, Struggle Continues...
Her attorneys report that Maribel and her family are hugely relieved that the Fresno police department's felony assault charges against Maribel were dropped on August 3, 2005. The family looks forward to recuperating for the rest of the summer before school starts up again for Maribel.
