Randy Ward to layoff 492 Oakland teachers?
Randy Ward state appointed head of the Oakland school district is proposing to layoff 492 total teachers. He is also proposing to layoff 90% of adult school teachers effectively shutting down a program that serves about 25,000 ESL, GED, and disabled students. The Oakland Adult School is a financially sound program and is not in any debt....
