Palo Alto: Action Against War, Empire, & Capitalism Planned For Late June
End the Occupation - Destroy Empire - Dismantle Capitalism!
There's a war on - a war between the United States government and the vast majority
of the world's population. This war has many faces - the
struggles over globalization, corporate empire, and the invasion and occupation of
Iraq and Afghanistan - but everywhere the same lines are drawn. Everywhere the US

Suburban Insurrection: Palo Alto Finds the Beach Beneath the Streets
Not sense newspaper boxes broke through the windows of the INS building in San Francisco have I felt this re-energized and uplifted in regards to militant, illegal street protest in the aftermath of the Reclaim the Streets action in Palo Alto. The event was organized by Anarchist Action, an ad hoc group of various anarchist collectives and affinity groups throughout the bay area, and was billed as a “revolutionary street party”, and “suburban inserrection”....

Reportback: Palo Alto Reclaim the Streets! - May 20
A Revolutionary Streetparty, a Suburban Insurrection...

Palo Alto. United by an effective critique of global capitalism - weaving
together the dominance of the G8, the monotony of modern urbanism, and
alienated suburban boredom - local youth, joined by a small number from around the Bay Area and Central Valley, successfully reclaimed the
streets. Marching behind banners exclaiming "Reclaim the S...

Pics from Palo Alto RTS
On Friday, May 20th, A reclaim the streets was held in downtown Palo Alto on University Avenue. The party lasted about an hour before people were dispersed by 3(yes, 3) different police forces from different cities working together. The entire downtown area was shut down to incoming traffic, and only a few arrests were made. Below are photos from the event.

An Open Letter to Howard Dean
The Democratic leadership should be pressing for quick withdrawal of all troops from Iraq.
That’s what most Democrats want, too. Your performance in the early stages of the primary, and your recent chairmanship of the party, were made possible by many, many progressive and liberal Democrats. It was their hope and expectation that you would prevent the party from repeating its past drift to the Republican-lite center. They hoped that this time the party would not abandon them or its core be...
