On the day the invasion of Iraq starts, resistance in the streets obviously wont rely on tactics like the single Black Bloc, headed for obvious targets. They wont work. The element of surprise will have been totally lost. The cops will be ready. There will be a rapid encirclement, followed by mass arrests. Mass arrests are not productive....

The coming war against Iraq is directly linked with the sharp cuts in social spending here it home. Everything that moves must be directly for the profits of US capitalism. If not, it must be starved out or bombed out.

Article and 2 good overhead photos after clicking thumbnails. Great links after the article. Independent media (of all kinds) pressure concerning police estimates results in pressure on both police and corporate media to produce more realistic estimates of crowd sizes. Or people will lose even more faith in the police, and corporate media will lose even more readers and viewers....

Anastasia Hendrix and Tom Abate's open support for the San Francisco political machine is one thing but this coverage sinks to the level where one would expect them to feel ashamed to call themselves journalists....

More propaganda from the American "Free" Press. According to this report from the San Francisco Gate, "Blac Block" anarchists went on a rampage during yesterday's Antiwar protests. According to one police officer, "It's anti-war. "It's kind of like anti-everything."
Police Sgt. Jim Seim said it appeared that 40 to 50 members of the group were responsible for most of the evening's mischief.
