about 8 members of the extended Phelps church picketed the UC vs. Arizona football game in Berkeley at 12:30 for an hour. They held antiamerican and antihomosexual signs, and one young girl stood on an american flag in the dirt as she held a "thank God for September 11" sign. A large group of football fans, organized gay rights groups, and a few members of the spartacist league stood in counterprotest, laughing most of the time at the zany comments of the Phelps group....

Livermore nuclear weapons lab is a US facility involved in the design and development of weapons of mass destruction. The rally took place in Livermore, CA, on Veteran's Day, just days after the UN Security Council passed a resolution to admit weapons inspectors to Iraq....

A direct Action to stop war profiteers will occur on Monday Nov. 18 beginning at 7am gathering at Market and Sansome in San Francisco's financial district. There will be actual shutdown of some nasty corporations and others who will profit off of, or are part of the war-making process. Under the theme "Rivers of Life, Rivers of Blood" there will be a colorful expression of our outrage. A Convergence of training and gathering forces will occur Saturday and Sunday....
