entries accepted now for artist activist 2006 calendar
Peace Arts Xchange (PAX) is now accepting submissions for its 2006 calendar. The theme is displays of dissent in public. For example "freeway" signs, front yard displays, or, events such as the "Eyes Wide Open" exhibit. Please submit by Sept. 15, 2005. Inquire at for entry form....

Rapper Kanye West blasts Bush on TV benefit show (video/quicktime 1.6MB)
Rapper Kanye West surprised viewers of an NBC benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina victims on Friday by accusing President George W. Bush of racism.
"George Bush doesn't care about black people," West said from New York during the show aired live on the East Coast on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC and Pax, just before cameras cut away to comedian Chris Tucker.
