The Department of Public Works (DPW) and SF Public Utilities Commission SFPUC) is busy working with Lennar BVHP LLC building roads, installing sewer tanks and pipes, and working on other infrastructure to accommodate thousands of homes. Both DPW and SFPUC have failed to follow the Precautionary Principle and are now responsible for any added pollution as a result of any infrastructure polluted with radiological elements, mercury, lead, asbestos, and so on....

Wednesday, July 11, 2007 : At yesterday’s Rules Committee, Supervisor Chris Daly submitted a Charter Amendment for the November ballot that would annually dedicate two-and-a-half cents for every $100 in property tax revenue to affordable housing. This would come out to about $33 million a year – i.e., what the Supervisors had appropriated for affordable housing this year, only to have the Mayor simply refuse to spend the money....
