Republicans To Harass Ohio Votes INSIDE Polling Places
TThe Republican Party has announced plans to place thousands of election challengers in Ohio polling places next week. It says it is only trying to prevent fraud. But there is a real danger that these challengers could be used to block eligible voters from casting their ballots or, just as bad, to drastically slow down voting in some parts of the state. Election officials must be vigilant about ensuring that partisan challengers do not disrupt the voting....

WTC Rescue Hero Sues Bush for Complicity in 9/11
Berg maintains that many prominent figures in politics, the military and the mass media consider the ‘Official Story’ of 9-11 to be untrue. But while the truth is emerging bit by bit, thanks to anonymous whistleblowers and researchers posting on the internet, to date no one with the stake in being a Senator, a Presidential candidate, or a media celebrity has found the courage to risk being ridiculed as a “tinfoil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorist.” Berg points out that the only Senator who has ...

Vote Fraud in Utah and Michigan
The helpful voice on the other end of the phone says, "Push 3, if you'd like to have an absentee ballot sent directly to your home."
Convenient isn't it?
A little too convenient for Pat Beckstead, elections coordinator for Davis County, who says voters taken in by that ruse will never see the ballot or have their vote counted....

Popsicle Pathology
This is not even Pop culture, its Popsicle culture. Regurgitated to meet the demands of a reality-based celebrity-obsessed cultural cesspool that defies the notion of depth. Andy Warhol's theory of fifteen-minute fame was conceived in a pre-ADD mind-set. Who can even tolerate fifteen minutes without being bored to death or achingly distracted? Unless, like with Arnie and Maria, our force-fed celebrity fix is constructed from disposable, non-biodegradable plastic....

The Coming Post-Election Chaos
This next presidential election, on November 2, may be followed by post-election chaos unlike any we've ever known
Look at the swirling, ugly currents currently at work in this conspicuously close race. There is Republicans' history of going negative to win elections. There is Karl Rove's disposition to challenge close elections in post-election brawls. And there is Democrats' (and others) new unwillingness to roll over, as was done in 2000. Finally, look at the fact that a half-dozen laws...

A Response to the "Kerry in Swing State" Petition Signers
Many of the individuals who gave a blanket endorsement to Nader in the 2000
election have signed a petition urging "support for Kerry/Edwards in all
swing states, even while we strongly disagree with Kerry's policies on Iraq
and other issues." (See: http://www.votetostopbush.com)
Many warned at the time that some sort of "strategic voting" would be
needed in 2000. (See my piece "A New Way To Vote -- As A Duet" http://www.commondreams.org/views/102900...
