Community Support Needed to Hunger Strike for Education
The March 4 Education will be beginning a hunger strike in Oakland on Monday. They need us to be there at Frank Ogawa Plaza at the Oakland City Hall (14th and Broadway) beginning at 5PM on Monday in big numbers with legal observers. They are asking to camp there, but there is no such permit for this space, so they need our support and protection to negotiate using this space....

While I support the anti-war events taking place in the next two days, I don't feel good that the event that so many people from the Oakland community worked to plan for Education not Incarceration is being subsumed by it on this site.
