The Nepalese capital was locked down yesterday in a dawn-to-dusk curfew. The streets of Kathmandu were deserted, except for the 15,000 police and soldiers who were deployed to enforce the curfew. Armoured personnel carriers mounted with machine guns were stationed across the city....

Americas Planned Destruction by the Elites
Is the destruction of America as we know it being planned by the elites? All the indicators tell us that something nefarious is happening and that this might be the intent. From the plundering of our treasury -- over 3 TRILLIONS missing from the DoD, to the tax cuts for the wealthy in a time of war, and to the creation of record deficits which will keep our children in servitude to pay off the banking elite, we are seeing a planned theft of enormous proportions.
Here is a good summary of w...

From the Ground Up: Race and the Left Response to Katrina
“For a lot of people, people of color from New Orleans and the south, we’re all trying to put our lives together. If we had the means, if we had the same privilege, we would be here too, we would be organizing and fighting for our community. It’s important for people to realize the privilege they have and others don’t have.”...

Iran issues stark warning on oil price
Iran stepped up its defiance of international pressure over its nuclear programme yesterday by warning of soaring oil prices if it is subjected to economic sanctions. As diplomats from the US, Europe, Russia, and China prepared to meet today in London to discuss referring Tehran to the UN security council, Iran's economy minister, Davoud Danesh-Jafari, said the country's position as the world's fourth-largest oil producer meant such action would have grave consequences....

911 -- the key issue to stop the facsists in their tracks
This is a repost of an article written by Project Censored journalist and 911truth.org executive director David Kubiak. I think it is important that we see the validity of his analysis because 911 is the fulcrum issue for change. Many of us are taking on important issues like civil rights, the war, election reform, militarism in our schools, prison reform, etc., but none of these individual issues will change the corrupt system or the rational for endless war. What we need one "strategi...

Steve Forbes, shame on you for misleading your own reporter, and even worse your subscribers, about the true Beltway-Davidson origens of the 'anti-naked short selling' scam....It may be past time to ask the SEC to get the CIA out of stock investing. As they set a bad precedent. And other federal agencies may justify a similar scheme as the CIA and or NSA who both use the same IT that the GAO and the SEC and the White House etc etc all use and that appears to be SRA International's predominantly....
