R.L. Burnside audio retrospective (audio/mpeg 27.6MB)
Rad Radio presents an hour-long history of Mississippi blues great R.L. Burnside. Burnside died on Sept 1st at age 78, leaving an audio legacy that spans over a half century of accousitc and electric blues. Over the past decade Burnside continally updated styles, crossing genres into punk/alternative rock, electronica, and hip hop-infused electric blues. At last, the economy's surging again! And, if you check out the actual breakdown yourself, you'll see that a pretty good chunk of them are rock-bottom-wage "service" jobs, not including the handful of "freelance" categories you see here -- including a newly-emerging job category showing a huge upswing at the end of the month....

Peace Arts Xchange (PAX) is now accepting submissions for its 2006 calendar. The theme is displays of dissent in public. For example "freeway" signs, front yard displays, or, events such as the "Eyes Wide Open" exhibit. Please submit by Sept. 15, 2005. Inquire at for entry form....
