The Northwest Ecosystem Survey Team (N.E.S.T.) will begins its citizen surveys this Join. NEST looks for species listed under the Survey and Manage portion of the Northwest Forest Plan in order to get timber sales canceled or reduced in size. While George and his timber buddies removed Survey and Manage in 2004, a judge ordered it back in. In Ontario, Canada, an indigenous community called the Grassy Narrows First Nation are being subjected to human rights abuses. Logging companies, Weyerhaeuser and Abitibi are clear-cut logging their land without the community’s consent. This exploitation is poisoning their waters with toxins, robbing the community of economic opportunities, and destroying their way of life.

The Bus Stop at Arleta and San Bruno Aveue by the Seven Eleven Store has been hit by a MUNI bus and it ready to topple down. Now will the SF Department of Public Works repair this concrete toilet - or will it simply wait till some one get hurts and millions of dollars are given out as compensation. MUNI, DPW, and the SF City and County of San Francisco do not care about real, concrete - Health and Safety issues. Here is one great example - weeks have gone by....
