No to Angelides and Schwarzenegger! Yes to Janice Jordan!
Angelides criticized Schwarzenegger for his praise for the racist anti-immigrant vigilantes called the “Minutemen” while in the same breath calling for a "guest worker" program that would create a new class of super-exploited worker with no political rights. Under the same type of program in the past U.S. bosses often failed to even pay Mexican workers for their hard labor. The fact that Angelides and the Democrat Party are now calling for this kind of legalization of indentured servitude pla...

Dismal Marriage Decision Opens Up Opportunities
Yesterday, by a vote of 2-1, a panel of the Court of Appeals upheld California’s law that restricts marriage to a man and a woman, denying this right to gay and lesbian couples. As supporters of marriage equality, this was a huge disappointment – but it’s far from being the final word. City Attorney Dennis Herrera will appeal to the state Supreme Court, who will make a ruling within the next two years. And while the appellate court failed to recognize the rights of same-sex couples, the legal...

Schwarzenegger Vetoes Hemp Bill
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has refused to sign AB 1147, "The California Industrial Hemp Farming Act," which earlier this year passed the Senate (by 26 to 13) and Assembly (44 to 29). The bill would have allowed California farmers to grow hemp -the cannabis plant that has been bred for fiber and/or seeds. "Industrial hemp" contains only trace amounts of THC -.3 percent or less, as defined by AB 1147....

Chasing the Coveted ‘Latino Vote’ in California
SACRAMENTO — When the final votes in California’s gubernatorial election are tallied on Nov. 7, countless man-hours and millions of dollars will be spent trying to win over people like Daniel Jiménez of Elk Grove.
Through the traditional political lens, the 25-year-old South Sacramento native is a walking contradiction. He's a supervisor at a home-building company, a two-time Bush voter and a strong supporter of granting America's estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants amnesty, provi...

Prisons: Alexander Wants 50K Inmates Released
Governor Schwarzenegger has declared a state of emergency to reduce the over crowed conditions in California prisons; and under the governor’s proclamation 5,000 inmates will be transferred to other states. Stewart Alexander, with the Peace and Freedom Party, says the governor’s plan is doomed to failure before the first prisoner is transferred out of state. “Under the governor’s plan eventually California will need prison space in all 50 states.”...

FORREST HILL to Run TV Ads, Attempts to Break Imposed Media Blackout on 3rd Parties
To make a splash and get noticed, Green Party candidate for California Secretary of State, Dr. Forrest Hill, will begin running television commercials in the San Francisco Bay Area October 8.
"It is very difficult to break the blackout imposed by the media on anyone running outside the two major parties," says Hill. "This race is as much about name recognition as it is about the issues, and I believe that if our ad is seen by enough voters it can tip the balance of support in our favor."...

More Pics of Oct 6 protest
Many people were holding 9/11 Truth signs and banners (yeah!) and a few people were in V for Vendetta masks. Nice.
I hope all of us will buy these masks this Halloween (you can buy them at the Halloween stores) and if they steal the election another time we should all come out and take over the streets on November 5.
How bout it all?...
