Over 200 gathered Monday at Eureka's CalTrans office to oppose the federally-funded road-widening plan through Richardson Grove State Park. At the mass rally on Monday, police used nunchakus on a demonstrator restrained by lockboxes on both arms and officers used stun guns on 3 individuals outside the building. 12 people were arrested and released that night and the next day...

Every student in Northern California should be required to learn about the contributions to California by people of African descent. The Museum of African Diaspora has the unique location where essential partnership with the California Historical Society can begin to highlight a broad and profound legacy hidden with a possible intentional methodology of systemic institutional racism, yes in San Francisco, CA where the first public school in California was constructed by African Cuban, Danish...

It has been 10 horrible years, since the year 2000, and every year - Sophie Maxwell has done everything in her power to divide the community in the Bayview, Little Hollywood, Portola, Visitation Valley - she favors Potrero Hill. Sophie, takes credit, for things others have done - and uses ploys and machinations to rake in the money - to fill her own coffers. She endorsed the bombardment and poisoning, of our community and has been in bed with Lennar, a Rogue Developer. She has put her own sel...

The SF Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) was NEVER invited into the Bayview Hunters Point. Never, ever. Over the years the SF Redevelopment Agency has raped the Bayview Hunters Point again and again. This is not the first time the SFRA has come uninvited to the Bayview Hunters Point - but, the fifth. This last time without any meaningful discussion, no minutes - a large area was expanded to a Survey Area and then just like that into a Project Area....

At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010, the whining supporters of the Concerned Listeners/Save KPFA reactionaries announced the best news we the listeners have heard on that Democratic Party promotional "newscast" in many years: The entire Morning Show and Brian Edwards Tiekert are being replaced by a Los Angeles KPFT program effective 11/9/10. For the first time in many years, we might have something better to listen to in the morning. Let's give it a try on 11/9/10....
