Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in SF over 2 million tons of radiological polluting the area. Some photographs of San Francisco's Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. The many radiological experiments mandated that the Shipyard is cleaned to residential standards. Proposition P mandated by 87% of the voters in 2000 - sent a clear message to the United States Navy. Bayview Hunters Point Survey C sounds a clarion call for development full of machinations. A group of India Basin supporters took their plan to the SF Planning Commission to sound a clarion call full of ploys and machinations to develop Area C. Backing them planners from the SF Planning Department and the SF Redevelopment Agency. At Hunters Point Shipyard Phase I counts on building 1600 housing units. Phase II another 2500.
