textA18 - Freshwater Update - more arrests & evictions by ancient tree
4-18-03: Two tree sitters in Freshwater California were taken out of 1000 year old tree, "Jezebel," today, by climbers hired by Maxxam/Pacific Lumber Co. The tree, which Pacific Lumber contracted logger (of Steve Wills Trucking Co.), was then cut, adding to the casualties of ancient Redwood trees which used to cover Freshwater, holding up steep hillsides and preventing floods, which are now so common....

textCUBA: NEW VISTAS A short history of the future ( of humankind ) by Copy Trastor
By JEREMY SEABROOK SIXTY per cent of the vegetables consumed in Cuba today are organically grown in city gardens. With the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Cuba was denied the access to pesticides, fertiliser and tractor fuel on which it had depended. This, together with the continuing trade embargo by the USA, ought to have ensured the collapse of the regime. This is why the survival of Cuba is an important lesson to the world. The transition to self-reliance has been peaceable, wit...

textFinnish layers, solicitors and judges are using a system by Ake Tyvi
Real science is far from law. Most layers do not understand the fact of them really having 'no education' at all, and usually by then they have agreed on cases without really understanding bases. Layers degree is like a giving a piano to a child; you have an instrument, but do not know how to play. So, you decide to play false....

videoTree-sitter extraction Movie!!! (video/quicktime 40.0MB) by Lodgepole
Corporate "boom and bust" logging by Maxxam owned Pacific Lumber Co. and their contracted logging firms continue to descrate our watersheds and ignore the concerns of large numbers of residents. Tree-sitter removal is just another perfect example of just how lined the pockets of the government agencies in charge are, by the big money of P.L. and the rest of the industrial logging industry. Non-Violent Direct Action will continue to accompany Pacific Lumber logging plans and Tree-sits ...
