Anti-Arnold Protests Paying Off: Gov Backs Down on Pensions (maybe) At least rhetorically, Schwarzenegger has backed down on his proposals to privatize California public pensions. While he denies it has anything to do with the thousands of teachers, nurses, cops, and firefighters who have been dogging him out at every fundraising event, we all know better.
