If the Drug War is still on your list of wars you'd like to end, please join us in our effort. While we can't fully stop the war here in our city, we can set limits for the drug warriors in our midst. On Wed, March 1, students at UC Santa Cruz engaged in a creative "clothing-optional" protest against collegiate apparel produced by sweatshop labor. The protest was also against alleged comments by UCSC Chancellor Denice Denton that 'no one cares about sweatshops.' In symbolic protest against the use of sweatshops to make Univeristy of California collegiate apparel, students at 6 UCs including UC Santa Cruz, Berkeley, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Davis, and Riverside will be getting naked (or in their underwear) in front of their bookstores where collegiate apparel is sold on Wed, March 1st.
