Gay Shame @ Castro St. Fair (1)
Gay Shame had its own (free) booth space amongst the merchants. In mid-afternoon, Gay Shame marched through the crowd in an effort to get to the Cutest of the Castro contest-- two blocks and thousands of people away! Below are some of the costumes from the Gay Shame contingent....

Update From Gay Shame's Alternative Cutest Of The Castro Beauty Pageant
About 30 people are boxed in by several dozen cops police near 18th and Collingwood after only marching a few blocks. Many women are chanting "girl's are cute too" protesting the lack of women represented at the event in the Castro....

Report from Friday's Rally Against Discrimination
We had over 200 people of many races,
genders, ages, and abilities, who listened to speakers ranging from
Supervisor Tom Ammiano to community activists like SF Pride board member
Zwazzi Sowö and Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirit co-founder
Morningstar Vancil. Then we marched from the LGBT Center to Market and
Castro, chanting for equality and inclusion and against discrimination
in the LGBT community....
