Thursday, November 15, 2007 :Washington, D.C. - Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee meet Thursday to discuss letting telecoms off the hook for their role in illegal spying on millions of ordinary Americans -- a blatant attempt to block lawsuits that would determine if the surveillance is legal. The "FISA Amendments Act" includes blanket immunity for telecommunications companies who took part in a massive warrantless domestic surveillance program to wiretap Americans' communications....

The anarchist video collective "a-films" announces the release of two short films dealing with the situation of the Palestinian refugees who where forced out of the meanwhile totally destroyed Nahr al-Bared Refugee Camp in North Lebanon. After the fighting between the Lebanese army and Fatah al-Islam fighters had ended, the refugees still weren't allowed to return to the ruins of the camp, while the Lebanese army as well as civilians looted what was left of Nahr al-Bared....
