Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Center and Recycling - an institution to be proud of in SF. The Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Center (HANC) is an institution that has been doing recycling, later composting and other greening processes for the longest time ever. It is simply WRONG for the San Francisco Recreation and Park to try to evict HANC - after all these years for NO concrete reason. I have been associated with HANC directly and indirectly for many years - going, back to the time when I worked at the Presidio of San Francisco and encouraged - Recycling....
