O'Mei, a Chinese restaurant in Santa Cruz, CA. closed after it was revealed the owner was a white supremacist who gave $500 to David Duke.
The owner now wants to re-open the restaurant.
Will the boycott continue?...

Tenants Fight Back held a rally in front of City Hall on Tuesday September 12, 2017. They gathered and spoke to make clear the need for residents of Santa Cruz to pick a side in the housing crisis: people or profit. As this rally went on, the council approved a new development on Pacific with no affordable housing units. Seems like the city council has picked a side. Tenants will continue to fight....

Coming up today at City Council on the noon agenda (unusually early) is Item, #14. It may come up within an hour by 1 PM if not before. MC 13.08.100 exponentially expands the time a cop or ranger can unilaterally order a person to leave an area and not return. The vastly expanded area includes the Pogonip, Arana Gulch, and Moore Creek. The law is billed as a "School Safety" law, though the vast majority of the area covered is much further than 300' from a school....

ROLLING FAST to Repeal Santa Cruz Sleeping Ban. The anti-homeless Sleeping Ban in Santa Cruz has been challenged since its inception some two decades ago. Endorsing winning candidates has not worked. The right for the homeless to sleep legally is what the ROLLING FAST is about.
Simple, take one calendar day, let us know which day; call city council that day and tell them who you are and that you are fasting to REPEAL Sleeping Ban....
