If we the constituents are truly educated on issues - we would NOT permit the many projects linked to the San Francisco Port Authority and Commission to go unchecked without any concrete, meaningful deliberation. For starters the SF Port Commission does not have enough infusion to have a debate - weigh the pros and cons. Kimberly Brandon is the Chair and she brings this largess inherited from her mentor Willie L.Brown Jr. who anointed her - pass everything brought before the Commission - with...

Earlier this afternoon Kaiser Permanente was responding to yesterday's Homes Not Jails takeover of its chronically empty building on the corner of Divisadero and O'Farrell streets in San Francisco. As Kaiser "security" stood by, workers were screwing in heavy plywood over doors at street level....

San Francisco Recreation and Park should be ashamed of itself. At one point in the year 2000 the Bayview Hunters Point community contributed $1.5 million to the Conservatory. The monies from the State of California linked to mitigation money, that was to be used to mitigate adverse impacts in the Bayview Hunter Point. The entity polluting the area PG&E - the money; mitigation money some $47 million that was shared. San Francisco's share was $13.6 million. Now, we see SF Recreation and Par...

Over thirty thousand housing units are planned for the Southeast Sector - without, any consideration about Quality of Life issues. The paradox is that in San Francisco that has a population of 816,000 we already have over 30,000 vacant homes today. Not to mention over two thousand vacant units - most of them in Public Housing - boarded up and " Waiting for Godot". The interim Mayor simply does not get it, the leaders of the SF Redevelopment Agency simply do not get it. Even as they witness, ...

The San Francisco Redevelopment Agency is DEAD and rightly so. From its inception it has caused tremendous damage and has the BLOOD of thousands of innocent people on its hands. Using Eminent Domain laws; to remove people and displace them in the past. Recently, Governor Jerry Brown decided to stop all funding to the all "Redevelopment Agencies " and rightly so. Now, once again - the greedy mongers have risen their ugly head and have created a model - called INFRASTRUCTURE FINANCING DISTRICT ...

One hour before the dead line the REPUBLICANS compromised; after fighting for break crumbs - and permitted the U.S. Government to be in operation - for another week. This type of sordid behavior must stop and is a poor reflection on those that must represent. It does not mean the Democrats do not have something to contribute to this confusion. A Blue Ribbon Committee was formed some months ago - to address the Budget and must be controlled. Yet, in this current budget - the recommendation of ...

More people die in San Francisco from pedestrian accidents then any other City in California. Over fifty percent of our City population can be considered in the group of Senior Citizens and having some sort of serious disability; that impairs walking and thus crossing the road - at any given time. A hearing was held at San Francisco - April 7, 2011 before the Safety Committee - where few issues and facts mentioned by those giving serious Public Comment - were addressed. Instead, as usual we ...

There are major potholes all over San Francisco. The recent rains have created craters. The City must attend to potholes where daily a tragedy is waiting to happen. Some large potholes - around Executive Park. The recently patched potholes - have eroded - pointing to very heavy traffic, huge rigs, and construction work linked with SF Public Utilities Commission Projects. In the meantime over $300,000 is being wasted on roads outside Parcel A at the MAIN entrance of the Shipyard. An area that...

Single Mothers in San Francisco, especially - those from poor neighborhoods in this City and County of San Francisco have it difficult. The authorities that be - will do everything to tax you and haunt you - but less to offer opportunities to our youth and those that really need help. Why has NOT this City done a survey and held a conference to address, more admire the tenacity of the Single Mother - who fights so many odds to make things - happen. Of course the macho man does not give a hoot...

The Nation's debt is in the trillions. The Nation suffered because of Wall Street and large financial institution like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and other dubious characters - the ILK of Bernie Maddoff fame. They are still around - trying to pussyfoot around - and even though we the TAX PAYER bailed these scumbags. Today, there is NO fiscal restrains on these scumbags, to commit white collar crimes, to do exactly what they did, not too long ago. Now what is the Barrack Hussein Obama administ...

The City and County of San Francisco has wasted and lingered for too long to address the issue of the Safety of thousands of people living in Public Housing, Private Housing, Commercial Buildings, City owned Buildings, and Buildings that come under any other category. Community Action Plan for Seismic Safety (CAPSS) - makes some attempt - but it does not have the better interests of all of San Francisco and San Franciscans....
