Open Letter To SF BOS: Please Vote Down Bottled Water Ban The SF Board Of Supervisors' Land Use And Economic Development Committee is set to vote Monday, March 3, 2014 at 1:30 PM on a proposal to recommend to the full SF Board Of Supervisors that SF pass the strictest law in the nation banning the sale of 21 oz and smaller water bottles on city property. Funding a neighboring water district emergency intertie system It seems the Santa Cruz City Council is playing catch up in order to address the deepening drought, dropping reservoir levels, increasing aquifer overdraft/saltwater intrusion, and climate change impacts. Today with stages 3-5 water shortage emergencies looming, the public remains increasingly vulnerable as a result of the City's failure to develop a comprehensive Plan B alternative after the overwhelming passage of Measure P in 2012....
