"Walk for Life" Counter-Protest
January 21, 2006 - The second annual "Walk for Life" rally brought in thousands of right-wing christian fundamentalists and abortion opponents to San Francisco's waterfront. They were met by a determined group of pro-choice advocates and women's rights activists bearing green balloons and coathangers, letting them know their hypocritical right-wing pro-Bush patriarchal agenda is not welcome here....

Abortion Opponents Converge On San Francisco To Celebrate Death Of Roe
With Alito's nomination to the Supreme Court and the Democratic Party giving up its strong pro-choice stand, it is likely that Roe vs. Wade will be weakened and perhaps fully overturned in the next decade. Abortion opponents are emboldened and are now organizing yearly marches in cities like San Francisco to show their clout. Pro-choice groups are trying to fight back but the baby-boom generation that was willing to take to the streets for abortion rights for the past 3 decades seems to have ...

33 Years of Legal Abortion Celebrated by Fighting Fascism
We celebrated 33 years of Roe v. Wade guaranteeing safe and legal abortions by protesting fascism in San Francisco as a few thousand mostly white petty bourgeois Bush supporters marched for fascism under the guise of opposing abortion. We were at least 10,000 strong, which is good, but we can and must do better. We must celebrate 34 years of legal abortion next year with a rally at Justin Herman Plaza and a march on Market street....

Call to rise up, completely stop (anti-choicers) in their tracks and shut down their march
STAND UP AND BE COUNTED PRO-CHOICE BAY AREA!!
Anti-abortion advocates are trying to soften their hardcore profile at Saturday's Walk for Life West Coast, telling marchers to not to "bring signs displaying graphic images of aborted children" and to remain "100 percent peaceful."
Abortion rights activists are worried that their movement has gone soft in arguably America's most liberal city -- and California -- and are trying to toughen it up by urging supporters "...

It seems there are changes in the works. A lame duck prezzy will get to replace a moderate voice of reason on the Supreme Court with handpicked right-white-man who thinks he knows what's best for the rest of us. Now there are ads on BART from the rightwingers.
Well we got our own ads!...
