Calexico, CA – November 11, 2007 – Border Patrol officers attacked Sunday evening participants in the closing rally of a week-long bi-national camp protesting borders in Calexico/Mexicali. The rally took place on both sides of the fence just east of the pedestrian border crossing. Nearly 100 Border Patrol agents used pepper gas pellets, tazers, and batons to assault demonstrators on the U.S side....

Phone contact was made with the three brutalized No Borders Camp prisoners early this morning from jail in El Centro. Much information came to light, including the fact that they were refused medical treatment after repeated requests...this being contrary to what was told to the Legal Support Team by Border Patrol agents at Border Patrol station at around 11pm, who said "They (the prisoners) have refused further medical treatment."...

On Sunday, participants in the first international solidarity action to take place on both sides of a border, the No Borders Camp, marched west on a street that was once un-divided. At around 2:00 pm Nov. 9th, a caravan of demonstrators led by a crazy yellow school bus rolled up just down the street from the I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Service Processing Center in the middle of El Centro.
