May 1st March for Immigrant Rights!!!! Richmond & San Pablo and then San Francisco... Come!!
As a precursor to the Great San Francisco march on may 1st and the national boycott for immigrant rights, there will be a march in the city of Richmond which will take place two hours prior, Marchers will then leave through the BART to arrive in San Francisco and March!!!
9:00 am, three locations St. Paul's. St. Mark’s & St. Cornelius church In Richmond and San Pablo CA....

What explains the World Trade Center Building 7’s strange collapse? And, why wasn’t there any mention of it in the Official 9/11 Commission Report?
Why did the FBI confiscate surveillance cameras videos that could confirm what hit the pentagon? And, why haven’t they been released?
Why where there no plane intercepts when there was ample time to do so by air defense? Were there stand down orders?

STRIKE AVERTED, BUT SCHOOLS STILL CLOSED TOMORROW!!!
Just minutes ago the Oakland Education Association reps confirmed that they have reached a settlement and while teachers will be going to work tomorrow, it is still a non-student day ....because the district cannot assure that everyone will get the word and they cannot guarantee safe staffing levels. An extra day will probably be added at the end of the school year....

Oak to 9th -- Undemocratic planning
Here in Oakland we have a city Planning Commission that politely hears what community members have to say. So it looks really democratic. The problem is that at the end of a hearing the Commissioners generally dismiss everything that's been said by the community, and just give the developer's plans a rubber stamp. Sometimes, on the other hand, the planners dispense with the façade of formalities and just do what they want to do without the inconvenience of a public hearing....

United Students Against Sweatshops Sit In
Crowd of 200 gather at UCB to support a" sweat-free UC". Condeming the University's use of sweat shop labor in the production of collegiate apparel, and promoting United Students Against Sweatshops' (USAS) designated supplier program (DSP), students staged a "Naked Truth" rally and sit in that resulted in 18 arrests and more verbal volley from University administration...
