CODEPINK Arrested and In Jail, Cameraman Assaulted and Injured
When CODEPINK Women for Peace tried to conduct a PEACEFUL protest marking the death of the 3.000th U.S. soldier at Golden Gate Bridge, they were met with hostility, their civil rights were violated and ten were arrested and taken into custody. A San Francisco News 7 cameraman was assaulted by police while trying to cover the event. He suffered an eye injury and his camera was damaged. He is currently at a hospital in the Bay Area....

Police Assault TV News Crew Arrest Protesters On Golden Gate Bridge
Just saw a report on Ch 7 News that aside from arresting protesters (many war veterans) for trying to walk across the bridge, (while arresting nonprotesters), the Golden Gate Bridge Police also assaulted a Channel 7 News cameraman pushing his camera back into his face and leaving it bloody. The police at the scene told the Ch 7 crew that the bridge is private property (something contradicted by the police's spokesperson when Ch 7 called) and the police officer who assaulted the cameraman cove...
