Infoshop is pleased to announce a series of new initiatives under the OpenWiki project. OpenWiki is an open and collaborative endeavor which works off of the principles of the free software movement and employs the participatory wiki software. Josh Wolf is being charged with civil contempt and may be jailed Thursday for refusing to testify or turn over video out takes to a Federal Grand Jury investigating a July, 2005, demonstration. We have fought to make this next hearing public, so come out and pack the courtroom.
July 20th, Press conference at 12pm, hearing at 1pm at the SF Federal Building (450 Golden Gate Ave.)...

In summer of 2005, KOMY 1340FM in Santa Cruz/Salinas/Monterey Bay became an Air America radio network affiliate. I was surprised yesterday afternoon when a Reuters article popped onto my computer screen reporting that 53 Lebanese civilians had been killed by Israeli forces, part of the suddenly chaotic two-front battle Israel's military is fighting in the Middle East. Surprised, because I had been monitoring the day's events on CNN and hadn't heard much about that kind of swelling Lebanese death toll....
