In the Water Pollution section, numerous tips are suggested for the everyday household. However, large corporate, industrial and military polluters are let off the hook. Oil drilling, Naval Weapons Testing, Nuclear Power Plants, Fish Farming, Ocean Mining, Wind and Wave Energy Installations – none of these critical ocean issues are even mentioned....

Among the many state parks that will be off-limits to the public will be Benicia State Park, Colusa State Park, Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, Henry W. Coe State Park, Manchester State Park, Pio Pico State Historic Park, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and many more. Group Says Southern California's Coastal Waters Are Still Open 
"Whether intentional or not, the Department of Fish and Game has done an extremely poor job in telling anglers when the South Coast regulations will go into effect," said Bob Fletcher, former president of the Sportfishing Association of California. San Joaquin Valley Growers File Suit Challenging Salmon Fishery A group of San Joaquin Valley irrigation districts filed a lawsuit Thursday seeking to stop the first full salmon fishing season since 2007. The groups fear if salmon continue recent past population declines, they would be forced to release more of their water to increase river flows....

Water contractors sue to block commercial salmon season 
Dick Pool, administrator of www.water4fish.org, said that absent changes to restore the Delta and the fresh water salmon habitat conditions, the populations are going to continue to collapse until the government must take "draconian actions" to avoid extinctions.
