Yvette Felarca is a member of the Executive Board of the Berkeley Federation of Teachers. It is now 4 weeks since she was suspended. The attack on students by the Berkeley School District is described by Yvette. All immigrant students are being pulled out of class and being questioned about their country of origin in "progressive" Berkeley by the Democrats running the Berkeley School District. The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has extended the public comment period for a proposed regulation that would give further protections to children when agricultural pesticides are applied close to schools and child daycare facilities*. The new deadline of December 9, 2016, gives the public more opportunity to weigh in on the issue.
In addition, DPR has added an additional public hearing that will be held in Monterey County. Public hearings have already been scheduled...

Oakland, CA, September 20, 2016 - The national health watchdog Center for Environmental Health (CEH) has filed a lawsuit against Dow Chemical to address cancer risks posed by its fumigant pesticide Telone. Telone (a trade name for the chemical 1,3-Dichloropropene or 1,3-D) is a known carcinogen that pollutes dozens of rural areas throughout California; it is the third most heavily used pesticide in the state, and has been found to linger in the air for days after application....
