On the last day of the G8 Summit in Gleneagles, Scotland, a group of some 50 people in Edinburgh hung banners and distributed leaflets against the capitalist terror attacks of the G8 and the bombings in London. Police forcibly dispersed the leafletting group....

After a relatively slow midday marching up and down Prince St., the anti-G8 march in Edinburgh broke free with the help of a samba band and several shifts in momentum. Suddenly more upbeat, active, and growing it ran up and down hills, melted through police lines, and ran through downtown....

"IMC Update 5.30pm - Protesters at Gleneagles have breached the fence which guards the hotel in which the G8 leaders are meeting from today. Parts of the fence were torn down. At the moment, a large number of police reinforcements are arriving and charging the protestors. Military helicopters are arriving. The Carnival for Full Enjoyment travelled around the streets of Edinburgh on Monday 4th, involving a cast of G8 Summit protesters, clowns, police and local people. Urging the G8 leaders to do more to help Africa is begging the same people for mercy who represent the inhuman systems. And nothing was said about poverty's origins, stopping the illegal wars or the taking of the African oil: again cheating Africa out of trillions....
