The UCSC Graduate Student Association approved a resolution on November 5th calling on the University of California system and UC Santa Cruz to (a) divest from the Thirty Meter Telescope project on Mauna Kea and (b) use their unique leverage concerning the fate of the TMT to make sure construction of it never occurs on Mauna Kea.
